Quilts Hanging to Dry

Welcome to the Souhegan Valley Quilters Guild.  Our guild is a non profit organization founded in 1984 which means that this year is our 25th year! Our guild is comprised of a fun, diverse group of quilters who range from the beginner to the experienced. We come from all over the state of New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts. We have both day and evening meetings so that all people interested in attending can do so. In addition to our scheduled meetings we try to host quilt teachers who will bring us new techniques and ideas to expand our own horizons. Our members also make and donate comfort quilts for people in our area who have had some life changing challenges and could use the love and comfort of a quilt. We welcome any person interested in quilting to come and see what we’re all about!

Join us for a concert and trunk show by Cathy Miller, aka The Singing Quilter! Cathy is a guitar player, singer and songwriter. Over the last 30+ years of her career, Cathy has performed at hundreds of folk festivals, clubs, and concerts from coast to coast in Canada. She is known for her upbeat performances, which have made her a favourite at many events. In 2000, she was recognized in Australia, where she was awarded a national songwriting Special Merit award by the Australian Heritage Commission. She released this song on a CD single called "Grand Old Duchess". It was named by Ian McNamara (ABC Radio) as one of  Macca's "Top 10 Songs of 2000" in January 2001.

In 2010 two of her songs were used in the documentary "Stitched", which followed three art quilters - Caryl Bryer Fallert, Hollis Chatelain and Randall Cook - as they prepared for the Houston Quilt Festival.

Admission is free for guild members, for others there is a $3 charge.
